🔔 Last Friday on December 6th, CUE joined the 2024 Nord Anglia International School Shanghai Pudong Christmas Fair, celebrating the holiday with the community🎄The event attracted about 700 people, including students, families, teachers, staff and connected communities.
CUE’s founder Xixi, Program Director Emma and Curriculum Developer Rosanna attended the event. Earlier in November, CUE had just finished the R&D process of the Bridgework Journal, and it was the first time that the team is bringing it to the public. It was indeed an exciting moment that marked a turning point in the development of this life transition series.
💬 During the hours, we were delighted to engage in meaningful conversations with parents, students, and staff, highlighting life transition care and mental health support for students preparing to move from school to overseas studies. We showed our Bridework Journal with educators, parents and students on the market, sharing many agreements on the importance of psychological, mental and cultural supports students need. Some of the most moving moments came from parents who opened up about stories within their community—friends whose children had struggled deeply after going abroad, often in silence, and with families unsure how to help from afar. These conversations reaffirmed why CUE does this work. One conversation that stayed with us was with a mother and educator who had studied abroad herself. and whose daughter had recently done the same. She flipped through The Bridgework Journal with quiet recognition and a touch of emotion. “I wish something like this existed when I went abroad,” she said. “And even more so, when my daughter did.
