NEWS - Our Program Director Is Relocating Back to the U.S. – 2025.06

We gathered for a warm, bittersweet dinner to celebrate Emma’s incredible journey as the Program Director of our Transition Into Global Student Life series, as well as her 8 years career achievement as an exceptional educator in China. As she steps into a new career adventure in Washington, D.C., we reflect with deep gratitude on the legacy she’s built within the CUE team.

Over the past year, Emma has played a pivotal role in shaping the heart of this learning series. She brought to the team exceptional insight into international school systems, both within China and globally.

She led meaningful dialogues with leading institutions, such as the YCIS Foundation (including Puxi & Pudong campuses), Shanghai American School (SAS), the International School of Beijing (ISB), Harrow International School Beijing, Dulwich College (Puxi & Pudong), etc..

Beyond partnerships, Emma also guided our content development: from refining the narrative direction of our story-based learning to reshaping our main characters’ profiles with care, clarity, and nuance. We have had many chats and calls to brainstorm the ways forward in creating life transition support for high school students before their global studies, including the best timing, semester-wide widows, learning depth, formats, and many more. Her impact will remain embedded in the DNA of the series.

Emma, thank you for your wisdom, creativity, and care. You will always have a special place in CUE’s story! We can’t wait to see the new chapters you’ll write next.

But hey, this is not the end of our journey! 🎉 We’re thrilled to share that Emma will continue with CUE as a trusted advisor, supporting the ongoing development of this series all the way from Washington, D.C. We will take this work to the next level, from afar, but still together!
